Potassium liquid glass
Potassium liquid glass – is an aqueous solution of potassium silicate. A product of the chemical industry obtained by dissolving a silicate block in water. It looks like a thick sticky liquid of a pink-gray or gray-blue hue. The main application is in the production of welding electrodes, paint and varnish industry, production of household chemicals, fertilizers, etc. It is valued for its original properties, which distinguish it not only from construction and repair substances, but also from other silicate compounds.
Chemical formula: H2O*K2O(SiO2).
Packaging – euro cubes weighing up to 1500 kg, metal barrels 200 l, plastic cans 5 l, or in bulk in customer containers.

Potassium liquid glass of all modifications is an alkaline solution with PH>12. In this regard, you should avoid getting it on the skin and mucous membranes, and use a gown, gloves and safety glasses when working.
Reacts violently with acids!
Recommendations for choosing a brand of liquid glass
Liquid glass has a very wide range of applications, from building material to raw material for the production of “white soot”. However, the most common use is as an adhesive component in welding materials and ceramics.
In each specific case, the brand is selected individually, but the following trends have emerged regarding the purpose of liquid glass:
- for welding electrodes – Ukrsil K30, Ukrsil K32
- for the paint and varnish industry – Ukrsil K40
- for the ceramic industry – Ukrsil K30, Ukrsil K40
- for ceramic fluxes – Ukrsil NK30, Ukrsil K30
- for agro fertilizers – Ukrsil K30
- for building materials – Ukrsil N30
